1 – The Pissevieille waterfall at Vallon-Pont-d’Arc

The Pissevieille waterfall is located at the entrance to the Gorges de l’Ardèche on the Vallon-Pont-d’Arc side, in the Vallon du Tiourre. Park in a small car park on a hairpin bend on the way up to the Serre de Tourre lookout point, and take the path through the undergrowth that starts from the car park. Be careful, this is a steep and very slippery path! Good footwear is essential. It takes around 30 minutes to walk to the waterfall, and 45 minutes to walk back up because of the difference in altitude. For it to flow, it must have rained a lot. But the spectacle of the Pissevieille waterfall is grandiose!

2 – The Rochecolombe waterfall

At the foot of the village of Rochecolombe, a footpath takes 10 minutes to reach the superb Rochecolombe waterfall. This waterfall only flows a few times a year, after heavy rain. The water flowing from the cascade winds its way through magnificent little turquoise pools.

3 – The Imbours waterfall at Larnas

The Imbours waterfall is in Larnas, just outside Saint-Remèze, and it’s a truly surprising place. When it flows, the Imbours waterfall pours into a succession of emerald-coloured pools in the middle of the forest. It takes around 15 minutes to walk to the Imbours waterfall along a signposted path.
