The Concert Impromptu takes you on a sonic journey filled with the soul of great French composers. This exceptional quintet, ambassadors of the French wind school, breathes new energy into the masterpieces of French music, bringing their melodies into dialogue with dazzling freedom. Under the artistic direction of oboist Violène Dufès, the ensemble explores sensitive and committed compositions, in which each musician lends their instrument a unique voice. From the impressionistic sweetness of Claude Debussy's Petite suite to the piquant audacities of Erik Satie, from the warmth of a Habanera to the dreamlike colors of Maurice Ravel's Ma Mère l'Oye, each piece transforms into a true story. Here, the music doesn't freeze: it dances, breathes, and surprises. Between complicity, expressiveness and inspired flights, these five musicians pay homage to French elegance and fantasy, making the flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon resonate under the vaults of the Saint-Louis Church.
