2 days of hiking in the Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve: a unique experience!
We promise you a real immersion in nature and the discovery of one of the most beautiful canyons in Europe.
We have concocted an all-inclusive hiking stay for you, with the night at the bivouac and the transfer by bus, from Saint Martin d’Ardèche or Vallon Pont d’Arc, depending on where you park your vehicle.
The hiking route in brief
- Departure from Vallon Pont d’Arc (from the Pont du Tiourre) / Arrival at Saint Martin d’Ardèche (Plage de Sauze)
22 km in 2 days - Level: Sporty for experienced hikers
- Difficulties on the route: partly stony route, handrails, fording (river crossing), passage in a natural chimney (you will have to crawl a few meters to reach the exit)
The night at the Gournier bivouac
The bivouac is the only type of accommodation in the Gorges de l’Ardèche.
Halfway through your hike, you will sleep in the heart of the Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve, by the river. It is a space equipped with showers, toilets, picnic tables, barbecue and charcoal.
For your comfort and to avoid leaving too busy, we advise you to opt for the rental of tents and mattresses (available according to the dates within the limit of available stocks)

1 – Parking in Saint Martin d’Ardèche
One-way shuttle, day 1 at 08:15 from Saint Martin d’Ardèche
Night at the Gournier bivouac included
On day 1, you park your vehicle at the arrival of the hiking trail, in Saint Martin d’Ardèche, in the car park at Sauze beach. We reserve for you the shuttle which will take you at 8:15 am to the start of the trail at Pont du Tiourre in Vallon Pont d’Arc. You will be able to pick up your vehicle on your arrival, on day 2, without time constraints.
2 – Parking in Vallon Pont d’Arc
Return shuttle on day 2 at 4:30 p.m. from Saint Martin d’Ardèche
Night at the Gournier bivouac included
On day 1, you park your Vallon Pont d’Arc vehicle about 800 m away. from the starting point. When you arrive in Saint Martin d’Ardèche on day 2, the bus will be waiting for you at 4:30 p.m. to take you back to where you parked your vehicle. Be careful to be on time, so as not to miss the shuttle!
