All-inclusive 2 days in canoe 1 night in bivouac
2 days and 1 night canoeing in the Ardèche Gorges
Canoeing or kayaking is the best way to discover the Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve. Take a 2-day trip and immerse yourself in the heart of this grandiose canyon, one of the most beautiful in Europe! You’ll be able to move with the flow, at your own pace, and take the time to appreciate the fabulous scenery of the Ardèche Gorges.
For canoeing down the Ardèche Gorges, choose our all-inclusive package: canoe hire + night in bivouac + transport.
- The package includes equipment hire (canoe or kayak, lifejacket, paddles, waterproof can), an overnight stay in a bivouac and a bus ride back to Vallon Pont d’Arc.
- Bring your own equipment for the bivouac (sleeping bag, small tent, etc.) and a change of clothes. A waterproof water bottle is provided.
- Remember to bring your own food for the 2 days. You’re in a nature reserve, so there’s nothing to eat.
- Don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun, and don’t leave without a good sun cream, which you should apply regularly. If you don’t, you run the risk of leaving with bitter memories of your adventure – and that would be a shame!
- You’ll need to wear closed-toe shoes such as trainers, and if you wear glasses or sunglasses, remember to bring an eyewear cord, as it can get a bit shaky at times.
- At the Gournier Bivouac: from 5 April to 30 September 2025
- At the Bivouac de Gaud: Saturdays in June and from 1 July to 31 August 2025
INFO: On the bivouac, you can sleep under the stars or bring your own tent. But if you want to travel lighter, you can also book a 3-person tent, or a cosy 6-person tent (Gaud bivouac only). All the accommodation options are shown below.
Eco-contribution : Your participation will be entirely donated to the Syndicat de Gestion des Gorges de l’Ardèche to contribute to the programme for the protection of birds of prey in the Nature Reserve. Find out more
